VH-JWL
JWL's build started in 2007 in a small country town called Merredin. In 2010 JWL was moved to the Western Australian south coastal town of Denmark. Several years more work took place before it moved to YDEK (Denmark Airport). Here it was housed in the hangar it now lives in. JWL had a maiden flight in August of 2013.
Since then it has flown to Victoria twice, across the vast Nullabor Plain.
Planned cruise speed is 150 knots. Fuel burn planned is 35L per hour, although at height a fuel burn closer to 30L is achievable. Endurance is 4 hours - both pilot and aircraft.
We use a Raspberry Pi3 with the software below installed via Apple Pi Baker (Mac) to get ADSB in show on the MGL Panel. You'll need a USB to Serial adapter to make it work.
