Our Alaska Inside Passage cruise

A small ship, a long way north.

We set out from Seattle on the Wilderness Legacy and followed the Inside Passage north to Juneau. As UnCruise's first sailing of the Alaska season, it was a memorable way to begin: quiet channels, wild coastlines and the promise of Glacier Bay ahead.

The route

From Seattle's waterfront to Alaska's glaciers.

Through the Inside Passage

After leaving Seattle, the route winds through sheltered channels and forested islands. UnCruise highlights the San Juan Islands, Queen Charlotte Sound and the Great Bear Rainforest along this northbound passage.

Adventure at water level

The Wilderness Legacy is set up for close-to-nature exploring, with viewing decks, a roomy lounge and a launch platform for kayaks and paddleboards. Depending on the day and conditions, the expedition team can take guests out by kayak or skiff, or ashore on foot.

Two days in Glacier Bay

Glacier Bay is the centrepiece of the published itinerary: two full days to take in its glacial landscape, look for wildlife and explore with the expedition team.

Route and ship details are based on UnCruise Adventures' published Seattle–Juneau itinerary and Wilderness Legacy ship profile. Daily activities and wildlife sightings vary with conditions.
