Aircraft Profile - Lancair VH YFM
Lancair VH-YFM was built from a kit and started in California. After moving to Denmark in 2001, Fred continued his project at home and was the first to build a hangar at the Denmark Airport. He moved the project there and completed the build. This is a very modified Lancair. With aerodynamic upgrades it comfortably seats 4 passengers at 220 knots. With an endurance of 9 hours, Brisbane is one stop and 10 hours flying away. This Lancair currently holds the single engine speed record for a flight that flew Sydney -> Canberra -> Sydney -> Christchurch (NZ). VH-YFM has recenly been sold to a new owner.
