Aircraft Profile - Zenith CH750 STOL VH-ZKS
Zenith CH750 was built by Kit over a number of years, with help from SAAA members. Built at home, Kit completed his aircraft in his shed and eventually moved it to Denmark Airport where is was finally constructed. Once getting its Certificate of Airworthiness, VH-ZKS was out for its maiden flight. Kit completed his pilot training whilst his aircraft completed its test phase with test pilot Gordon. Kit ended up flying over 100 hours in this plane. His greatest joy was taking his mother, Mavis, for a flight. Mavis was an aviatrix who had been the first female commercial pilot in South Africa and went on to fly the likes of the Onassis dynasty.
Kit eventually changed the registration to RA-Aus to match his pilot licence. After more than 100 hours, Kit sold his aircraft to a buyer from Gingin. The aircraft was last known to be at a flying club at Bindoon, north of Perth.
